Who is behind LignoHome?

Dimitri Giannelos, founder and craftsman at LignoHome, grew up in a family business where superior craftsmanship in handmade furniture has been a tradition for many generations. So, inevitably, wood and the creation that exists beyond it became an integral part of him.

His extensive studies, his love for artisan furniture, and his 20+ years of experience have always placed outstanding customer service and satisfaction as his foremost importance.

Materials we use

We work hard to source the highest quality materials—which only makes our finished products better. As well as working with various types of wood, such as oak, cherry, mahogany, and walnut, we are also proficient in using plywood, wood veneers, finishes and paints in any colour of your choice, all painted by hand. Other materials we may employ are fibre and composite boards; melamine faced chipboard, MDF, and melamine faced MDF, high gloss or matt, scratch-resistant and anti-fingerprint panels. Whatever the design requires, we can use it to execute your ideas.

Solid wood

Oak - the most popular straight-grained hardwood used in making furniture, suitable for painting in any colour.

Beechwood - straight with a uniform texture, pale colour, also suitable for painting in any colour.

Walnut - darker in colour, softer but more expensive than oak, and is considered better for veneers.

Melamine & Mdf

Melamine and melamine fused MDF are engineered products widely used in furniture making. They represent value for money as they are less expensive but just as reliable as wood.

They come in a wide variety of shades, patterns and veneers, which makes them ideal for cabinetry.
